QuietTranscribe is a desktop workspace for people who need a transcript, minutes, or an action plan without turning a private recording into someone else’s upload.
Local by design
The computer doing the listening is yours.
Recording, import, playback, transcription, and translation are arranged as one workspace. Audio and transcripts stay on the computer. Internet is used only if you choose to download a model.
Settings starts from the machine itself: processor, logical cores, available memory, free storage, and the number of CPU threads used for processing. The suggested Whisper model follows that hardware, and a 30-second benchmark is there when you want to compare speed with accuracy.

Models are chosen, not assumed
Whisper small Q5_0 and larger candidates such as Whisper large-v3-turbo Q5_0 can be compared on the first 30 seconds.
Output is ready for work
A transcript is the start. From there, QuietTranscribe can create minutes or an action plan, and it can translate.
